Nip draw (n.) –
When the object ball is so close to the cue ball that a draw shot would result in re-contact with the cue stick, you can use this shot instead. This technique simply involves a quick sharp contact with the cue ball.

These balls are so close together; I am just going to hit the cue with a nip draw to bring it back.
