(n.) – When the cue stick does not contact the cue ball in the correct way. When the shot is bad it will almost slide by the cue ball and direct your shot in the wrong direction.
(v.) – To contact the cue ball in an undesired fashion, having the cue tip slide over the surface of the cue.
1. That horrible shot is what we call a miscue.
2. I keep miscuing; I think my tip must not be holding any chalk.
