Inlay (n.) –
This is a specially fitted decoration that adorns the forearm and/or the butt sleeve of a cue stick. They are made of a number of different materials: ivory, mother of pearl, and numerous different woods. These are a dominant factor in determining the cost of a cue when they are extensive and handcrafted.
